Meagan Markerson, M. Ed.
Coordinator of Professional Development, Teaching and Learning Consultant
Meagan is a former teacher from Ascension Parish in Louisiana. She received her bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Secondary Family and Consumer Science Education with a concentration in Social Studies. Her master’s degree in Education Leadership is also from Southeastern. Before joining AXI’s Teaching and Learning Consultant team in June 2017, Meagan was a 6th-grade math teacher at Galvez Middle School. She also has teaching experience in 8th-grade social studies and Earth science as well as Family and Consumer Science. Along with her background and experience in the 1:1 classroom, Meagan is also a Promethean/Classflow Trainer and G Suite for Education Certified Educator. Meagan has a passion for working with teachers and finding ways to not only make their classrooms innovative but to also make their ever-demanding jobs easier.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher with more than 15 years experience in the classroom. Before joining the AXI team, I was a District Technology Facilitator where I developed and presented professional development on a variety of Educational Technology topics, implementations, and skills.
